Trip to Takao!

Hello Reader,

On Thursday of last week, Year 6 took a trip to Mount Takao. I think it is fair to say that it was an awesome trip! Team building, resourcefulness, stamina and will power were all demonstrated by the incredible Year 6 children as they made their way to the top of the mountain. Below this Blog Post, I have included a movie of the trip, some student-made movies and an email from a grateful hiker who two of the students helped when she fell while walking.

Dear staff of Y6,

I just received a phone call from a lady named Ms. Ishikawa from Hachioji, expressing heartfelt appreciation to a couple of girls in our Y6 (names unknown) for without hesitation, came running by and lent helping hands when she fell on the ground and slightly hurt herself.

Ms. Ishikawa said she was in a state of shock at the time, and could not say how thankful she was to those students. She was highly impressed by the girls’ generosity and imagined that wherever the school they attend must offer the highest level of education, not only academically but in moral education as well.

Perhaps, you want to share this to all your students and parents, too. J

Thanks,
Fumie
