Trip to Takao!

Hello Reader,

On Thursday of last week, Year 6 took a trip to Mount Takao. I think it is fair to say that it was an awesome trip! Team building, resourcefulness, stamina and will power were all demonstrated by the incredible Year 6 children as they made their way to the top of the mountain. Below this Blog Post, I have included a movie of the trip, some student-made movies and an email from a grateful hiker who two of the students helped when she fell while walking.

Dear staff of Y6,

I just received a phone call from a lady named Ms. Ishikawa from Hachioji, expressing heartfelt appreciation to a couple of girls in our Y6 (names unknown) for without hesitation, came running by and lent helping hands when she fell on the ground and slightly hurt herself.

Ms. Ishikawa said she was in a state of shock at the time, and could not say how thankful she was to those students. She was highly impressed by the girls’ generosity and imagined that wherever the school they attend must offer the highest level of education, not only academically but in moral education as well.

Perhaps, you want to share this to all your students and parents, too. J

Thanks,
Fumie

Haiku for the Heart

Here are some extra Haiku poems (as well as a few other poems) related to the book a little piece of ground by Elizabeth Laird.

In the deep blue sky,
We are flying free and good,
Then my wings are shot

My hopeless tears drop,
Into the ground of no hope,
Nothing we can do

The time has come back,
A time to fight for freedom
We shall get it back

The darkness has spread,
All over my home country
A permanent one

My hope, my love gone
in the hands of Israelis
When will it come back?

The people think bad
Israelis are a full moon
Too heavy, just fall!

Israeli soldier ’s point of view

Weaklings in danger
shame because of orders
If they could feel it

Leaving their own land,
Their feelings must be heartless
Please, understand us

We have to attack
Leaving mear feelings behind
For our own country

Scared, anxious and sad
Just wish this war would end soon

A possible autobiography...

Could these be some of our future autobiographies?

I was born in Seoul, at September 20th 2:09. A funny thing about my birth was-September=9

20th=20 Time in digits=209. Also, as soon as I was born, I peed on my dad’s face. When I was born, my mom thought I looked like an alien, but later, when she compared it to the other babies, she found that I was actually very good looking. I even went on a advert for a family insurance. When I grew up, I became a fast speaker. When I was four, I could speak Korean fluently. Although I was good at speaking, I HATED being active. I was too lazy to even crawl. Apparently, I pushed with my legs, flat on my stomach. And soon, I became tired of that, and I lay backwards (which was easier to do)!

When I went into nursery, I got lots of friends. I absolutely LOVED nursery.(though, I am definite that I was not the favorite of the teachers…)I used to be a troublemaker(some say I still am), and every day, I hid my shoe inside the teacher’s room. Though I don’t have many memories about this stage, I remember the shoes.

The next big thing was kindergarten. The teachers there were nice, but I could not understand why there wasn’t a nap time. And the worst memories are there. The food was my worst memory. It tasted like something I would never EVER eat again.

When I joined BST in 2012, I was quite nervous, but also quite happy that I could make new friends and mostly didn’t worry because I could speak and communicate, and it was more comfortable than the city because I couldn’t communicate in japanese. And more happiness struck me at that first year. I loved making new friends, and I loved playing with them. I worked quiter hard, and that may have been a lot of help to my billionaire life.I was actually quite popular, and I had great friendships.

When I finished BST, I was so sad. I loved this school, and wanted to stay more. But..life was tough. I had to go to Korea, and I had to say goodbye to all my friends. I had to go to Korea, and it felt really…..weird. Korean students get more homework than BST(every day) and since I was in middle school, I had a lot…..no tremendous homework every day. I had a hard life until university.

As soon as I joined University, I realised my hard times were over. I made a lot of new friends, and they cared about me a lot.I was recruited to a company called Willis.co, which was a book company.I  wrote a lot of books, and I could enjoy my passion of writing. When I turned 25, I really got into superheroes. I loved it so much, that one day, I decided to make my own superhero company. I felt a tingle of excitement when I opened the doors of the small company I created. I could see the superheroes I would make in my head.

When I created my first superhero, called Captain Evan tm, business was going terribly.I had lost almost all my money, and all the rest was debts from the bank.I wasn’t sure if I should launch captain Evan and Splash tm(Cap.Evan’s rival.).If it failed, I would have been bankrupt. But he didn’t. It became the most popular superhero, and soon there were toys and food with Captain Evan all over it.That was also when I met my wife. That year, was the happiest year of my life.

The second superhero, the Amazing WP'tm, was not so popular. It was about a class which could turn into superheroes. This was rejected by parents, who thought it would make the children study less. After that, a million superheroes were made. And at the age of 28, I was the richest person in the world. I helped a lot of people in Africa, and I gave a lot of money to my parents. I was happy, and I bought a lot of companies(such as disney and universal) and had a great life. Especially because I had my first son!

When I turned to my 40s and 50s, I had one of the saddest things in my life. My grandma had died. She was the one who cared about me and helped me a lot in my life. I felt as a part of my life had disappeared.

As I still live on at the age of 60, I still make comics and superheroes. My dream is to make everybody in the world happy, and I will do as much as I can to help.

I was born in central London in a busy area. When I was born my brother was 3 and always took great care of me, so I was an amazing present for my parents. At the age of 4 unexpectedly my sister was born. I wasn’t happy. When I was 4 I went to a dull school and stayed there for 4 years. At the age of 8 I moved to an awesome country which was Japan and met some friends but not many. When I was 12 I moved to a waay better place in Norway and became a criminal. I also went to an amazing talent school and bragged all the time about my amazing talent which was dancing. 3 years later I was even better at acting then became an actor for Sofia the first. I was always an amazingly talented girl so I got married at the age of 16 and got a single child. To be honest I didn’t like them, they were so mean to me.

When I was 20 I earned lots of money for being an awesome actor. I was so good at dancing that I was able to join the dance group ‘The Next Step.’ 7 years later I went to nationals and won it like it was so easy! A few months later I dumped my husband and daughter and married a movie director and got 8 kids, I mean that is not many at all! When I was 33 I owned a restaurant and became a waiter there. The prices were so cheap it was only 8000 yen and there was so many adults there. For some reason they were complaining about the price and said it was too expensive but it wasn’t.

My children was so naughty that I even had to give them the odd smack! oops forget what I just said okay?

I didn’t want to do this but I had to, It was . . . Go back to Japan!!! NOOO I refused to go but still I did. I met my mum and dad there and gave them all the things I stole off other people! I do have to admit but stealing is so nice! I am just too tempted to steal! When I was 50 I was the first old lady to be on mars (on the dark side); and even better when I was 55 was to be the first old flight attendant! I was also a football player when I was 57!
I got so bored of the world so I decided to as I say ‘take over the world!!!’ It was easy and even it only took me a year to kill everything, so now it is only me, I wonder what to do next...

One ordinary 8th of November 2004 in Malon, Kilingistan I ,Yash Wistol, was born. Most of my childhood is still a blur but secondary school is something I could never forget. I got 98% of my SATs correct. My first detention was because of something super silly. I was in the art classroom listening to the instructions given and while the teacher turned her back, My enemy, Brad, painted his arm red. Next he blamed me for punching him, got to go to the nurse (probably ended up goofing in the corridor) and got me into trouble. My GCSE score ended up not so great (86% correct) but I passed onto sixth form where I got 100% correct on my A-levels.

I created a revolutionary food printing device that got me my scholarship to M.I.T
(Massachusetts Institute of Technology). Over the November holiday in MIT I turned 21 and to celebrate me and my other 21 year old friends went to a club where I fell in love with my wife, Miranda Sea.

At the age of 23 I got my degrees and I started moving through multiple jobs. Many I disliked as they included things I didn’t like doing for example, I was once a debugger, someone who fixes problems in software, and somewhere in the path I managed to find myself slicing heads off poor pigs! At 25 during one job which included coding for the next biggest software I saw Miranda again and we started dating. We moved in and then finally at the age of 27 we got married and we lived very happily.

One magical day my daughter Ashley was born. I remember walking into the operation room and seeing the breathtaking smile on my wife’s face and I swear I saw a tiny smile from my daughter too. It was such a great day that my whole company threw me a celebration party! That was the job I stayed in until 30 years old.

At the age of 30 I started the most popular technology company of our generation, Yandi. In the beginning when people had to make appointments we had so many that people were disappointed that they didn’t get their computer on time! We had enough money to start our headquarters and our company went higher than all of Apple’s history in just ten years!

At the age of 31 it was time for another kid, this was a boy and named Yash Jr. To celebrate all the Yandi devices got notifications and their auto changing back colour turned to blue! The employees had to come to work with their wives and kids just to party!

At the age of 45 I reached a milestone. My net worth reached 1 billion dollars. We celebrated in a small party with some expensive champagne and luxurious decorations. It was the best day.

The company kept getting better and the company was worth quadrillions so we bought Apple and combined our advanced technologies to make something truly brilliant, the iYanPhone which changed the smartphone, forever. The day we made the iYan range (iYanPhone, iYanPad, iYanComp, iYanTV etc.) we had the biggest celebration in all of America’s history with the doors open for anyone who wanted to come. It was a truly brilliant day

At the age of 60 was probably the glummest most unfair day in the world, my wife died of a sudden heart attack. The entire world had memorials and mourning get togethers and the whole world was upset. Nothing could be done and at 4 o’clock in the afternoon in your local time a tribute played for her, something that the team did for me and they let me cry on their shoulder and I gave them all a free day.

Now there isn’t much to say, I write this waiting for the fatal day of my death. I just lay on my bed remembering my children, grandchildren, Miranda, Felix my dog. All the memories with my friends Kyle, Dimitri, Filip, Ben, Joey, Ken, Tommy and lots more. I hope you all have had great lives guys, I know I have.

I was born in Tokyo in Aoyama. Reiko, my sister, was born 2 years before me and we were always having fights with each other. I think we had a fight every 3 or 4 minutes and most of the time I won! I first went to a kindergarten called EWA. My Mother said I was crying a lot of the time and the teachers didn’t know why. Then I went to BST. I stayed at BST for a long time. I stayed at BST for about 12 years and then went to another school. I forgot the name of the other school because It was very boring.

After that I went to a university called Waseda when I was 18 . I was very good at Art , Music and Maths. While I was at University, I made a very nice friend called Yuki. I played with her every time and after I finished University I often spent time going to restaurants and shopping with Yuki.

I did some jobs for a couple of years and then I went to Karuizawa on a memorable ski trip with Yuki. In Karuizawa I met John. After that I went back to Tokyo and I made a new company called Mijuya when I was 25. Mijuya was a music company and it went really well. In fact it went so well I was a millionaire overnight!

I got married to John at the age of 26. We went to Hawaii after that and a new baby was born there. We stayed there for about 1 month and went back to Japan.
I used a lot of money going to hawaii and buying souvenirs so when I went back to Japan, I decided to write a book called “ I went to mars.” The book became very popular and I became rich again.

After another 2 years had past after the baby was born in Hawaii, a new baby was born! I was so happy but also I was also unhappy that there was more work to do.

When I was 30 years old I made a new company called Mijumaru limited (However I still continued the Mijuya) I did the company for about 3 years but I got so bored I decided to do a job at pokemon center. I made the pokemon company and game freak company so popular that I was able to do anything I wanted at the pokemon center (and the game freak company)!

I sold the company that I made because I was too busy everyday at the pokemon company.

At the company I made a new game called Mijumaru virtual pet game! My drawing was so cute it was sooooo popular. Working at those two company was so fun I worked there until I was about 40. I made more games , pictures and toys and I got lots of money. After that I relaxed all my Life except for picking up my children.

I was born in Manila, Phillippines, June 12th 2005. When I was born I had one older brother, Luke who is 2 years older than me. At the age of 1, I moved to Tokyo as my father found a new job. At first I went to a preschool called Kacepace. Then I went to my nightmare school…..Yochien!!! Once I peed on the floor inside and I was forced to be given a shower by the principle  and miss swimming!  n 2007 my younger brother was born. As the responsible child I had to watch Matt, my youngest brother, everywhere! When I was 4 I moved to Bst term 3 in reception.  I still remember the time when one of my friends came over and Matt was chasing us around in his underpants!! Then in 2009 my sister was born, Samantha. I was so happy until I found out that she was just as bossy as my other siblings.

Primary school was okay. But secondary school was the worst. First detention 2017; broke a glass stain window in another japanese school in a field trip, also ditching school everyday for a week in the mall. When I was 12, my amazing dad got a job in america, and I applied for a talent school my mother wanted me to go to. Unfortunately, I kicked a  window and broke my two legs. a year later, 2 popular girls came up to me and I started hanging out with them. Therefore all the boys loved me. We were pretty nice to, I mean we let people not sign our yearbooks. That all people want!!.....right? My BFF’s were, Sophia and Amber the school popular girls aka; the boss. I mean hellooo, we were the bosses no one could get in our way.

At the age of 13 I went to nationals as I, Araminta Alexia Smythe, was the best of the best. Obviously I won nationals, not just because I went into a coma and had a small accident on stage, in the middle of my routine. It was because they saw I had talent, and also felt sorry for me. But none of that matters, I still won right? In 2020 I visited Tokyo and was in the olympics as a gymnast, and again I took home the gold. When I was 19 I auditioned for frozen 6, and with no surprise, got the role as elsa. I wrote my first song called, I’m sitting on the toilet, and got 10000,000 hits on youtube. When I was 20 my agent, who was apparently my arch enemy in disguise, told everyone a lie! He told everyone that I was a fake and I got fired from my job without any education, job or even home. As a fact I married the famous Peter Pitt and had 2 twin girls, Key and Car. It was hatred at first sight! One year later my twins were taken away to live with my husband's parents!

Yay, because I was extremely happy I built a time machine to the future with no tiredness. I got inside the time machine and 30 years later I found myself in heaven!! Apparently WW3 has just happened against India and China and here I am in heaven. So right now I am sitting on a cloud sofa typing this on my Ibot, looking back at my life and all that I have been through, besides the time machine part, I have learnt so many things and I am happy to be here.
